Resolutions can be loud. Rhythms are quiet and in our opinion, more powerful.
Execution breakdowns don’t happen because teams lack ambition. They happen because the work only moves when pressure is high, deadlines are looming, or someone is pushing from behind.
Sprints get things started. But, the rhythms to the sprints are what keeps things moving.
Execution becomes sustainable when expectations are clear, check-ins are consistent, and progress doesn’t depend on some kind of heroic feat. When the work has a beat, teams know how to move.
Here’s a small shift for today:
Identify one recurring action that supports your most important goal.
Decide when and how often it should happen - weekly, biweekly, monthly.
Protect that rhythm just like you would any other important commitment.
Momentum doesn’t come from trying harder. It comes from knowing what matters and when to show up for it.
Today’s Reflection:
What rhythm, if protected, would make execution feel lighter next year?
